Automobile
The following automobile coverages are available. Basic
coverages vary slightly due to specific state regulations or requirements
governing automobile insurance.
Generally speaking, automobile policies provide the
following basic coverages:
Liability Coverage
- Bodily Injury Liability – provides coverage for legal liability
for automobile accidents causing injuries to other drivers, passengers,
and pedestrians.
- Property Damage Liability – provides coverage for legal liability
for automobile accidents that damage property of others.
- Medical Payment - provides necessary medical and funeral services
expenses for you and others injured in an automobile accident involving
a covered auto, regardless of who is at fault.
- Personal Injury Protection – (Coverage is regulated by state
insurance statutes) – provides medical and hospital expenses, income
continuation expenses, and loss of services expenses for you and others
injured in an automobile accident involving a covered auto, regardless
of who is at fault.
- Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Protection – protects you,
a family member, or anyone riding in a covered automobile for bodily
injury caused by an owner of an uninsured, underinsured, or hit-and-run
vehicle.
